Fluigent commercialize a flow control system named FASTAB which is dedicated to the microfluidic applications. When applications become complex and require many channels, the additions and mixtures of various reagents become difficult to manage within a lab-one-chip. Moreover, the use of valves within a chip limits its reliability and increases its production cost. Thanks to PC-driven full automation as its instantaneous response time, the MAESFLO makes it possible for example to manage mixtures of fluids, incubations, rinses without the use of valves.
