ExiGo is a microfluidic syringe pump controlled by iPad mini. It delivers precise pulseless flow rates with active feedback via integrated flow sensor. The Live Lab demonstration will show the very user-friendly interface and control via the iPad mini including syringe set-up; control of up to 4 pumps independently and simultaneously with programming perfusion modes: constant, ramp, step, sine. Applications shown during the demonstration will include:
  • Droplet generation
  • Precise multichannel mixing
  • Cell based assay applications
Kima is a microfluidic pump controlled by iPod Touch. It fits inside a standard CO2 incubator and it is possible to do both recirculating and single-pass perfusion modes. The Live Lab demonstration will show the very user-friendly interface and control via the iPod Touch illustrating control of up to 4 pumps simultaneously. Applications shown during the demonstration will include:
  • Cell culture under shear stress
  • Stem cell culture
  • Biofilm culture including testing of coupons/materials in biochip formats
