The PASCA consortium is a multinational research collaboration aiming to bring microfluidic technology to single cell applications. We present the Single Cell Manipulator (SCM), a benchtop instrument that is able to print single living cells confined in free flying droplets in an ink-jet like manner into well plates, microfluidic chips or other substrates for subsequent single cell analysis or culture.
