Katowice is a city in the southern part of Poland known as Silesia. It is the 11th largest in terms of population and the 12th in terms of area city in Poland. Katowice is located on the main national and international road-rail routes. A well-developed network of railway lines allows to conveniently reach Prague, Vienna, Budapest, or Berlin within a few hours. The international airport Katowice-Pyrzowice operates in nearby Pyrzowice. In addition, there are two other international airports in Krakow and Ostrava within a radius of 100 km.

In the past, Katowice was known mainly for coal mines, heavy industry, agriculture, and forging, while today, it is one of the national leaders in innovation, new technologies, and green transformation. Katowice is an academic, cultural, and sports centre. In the ranking published by the Globalization and World Cities Research Network, Katowice was classified in the V category (sufficiency level cities) of cities of global importance. The city hosts unique cultural, sports, and business events i.e., ONZ Climate Summit and the World Anti-Doping Conference. Since 2015, Katowice has been one of the UNESCO World Music Cities.

International Congress Centre (MCK)
The conference will be held at the International Congress Centre (MCK), located in the centre of Katowice, in the newly created unique area called the Culture Zone, to which, apart from MCK belongs the Sports and Entertainment Hall "Spodek", Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Silesian Museum. All objects are architectural gems, repeatedly awarded in competitions for their unique design.
