The mission of the Center for Advanced Materials and Technologies CEZAMAT of the Warsaw University of Technology is to conduct research and development works, participate in the transfer of advanced technologies, and support the commercialization of developed ideas.

The key areas of work are developing microelectronics, photonics and biomedical microfluidic systems with specified functionalities such as: lab-on-a-chip systems for cell culture, bioanalytical tools for diagnostic, clinical, environmental and other applications, based on optical and electrochemical biosensors and biotests, as well as, fabrication of bioactive substance delivery systems, multifunctional nanomaterials, tissue scaffolds and various biomaterials. Work is being carried out in the field of genomics, transcriptomics, epigenetics, metagenomics and analysis of the 3D structure of the genome.
