Agilent Tour Post-Conference Tour to Agilent Technologies, Waldbronn Thursday, October 31 14:00 - 19:30 The European headquarter of Agilent Technologies is located in Waldbronn, Germany, which is about an hour north of Freiburg. At this site, Agilent develops and manufactures Liquid Phase Separation products including High-pressure liquid chromatography (HPLC), capillary electrophoresis (CE), and microfluidic products for the worldwide market. These products include: Agilent Nanoflow HPLC-chip for high resolution separations and high sensitivity MS detection, Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer for sizing, quantification and quality control of DNA, RNA, proteins and cells, Agilent 2200 TapeStation and Screentapes as well as metal microfluidic components for UHPLC applications During a 2 hour visit you will learn about the products developed at the Waldbronn site, the different microfluidic platforms and their applications, tour the facilities and see how microfluidic products are manufactured. Schedule Departure in Freiburg, Messe: 14:00 Arrival in Karlsruhe (at the latest): ~ 15:30 Site visit from: 15:30 - 17:30 Get-together with snacks & drinks: 17:30 - 18:00 Stop at Karlsruhe main train station: ~ 18:30 Arrival in Freiburg, central station/Konzerthaus: ~ 19:30 Registration The tour is free. There will be a bus transfer from Freiburg to Waldbronn and back. Attendees travelling to Frankfurt Airport have the possibility to get off the bus at Karlsruhe main station in order to take the train to Frankfurt Airport (about 1 hour travel time) at 19:01.
