Tuesday, 29 October
Time: 11:20 - 12:20
The MicroTAS community has, based on its elaborate multidisciplinary expertise, tremendous opportunities to augment medical knowledge and devise efficient diagnostic tools. But what does it take to go from ideas and the bench to the bed side? What are the pitfalls? What can we learn from experienced pioneers and end-users?
The Industrial Forum will address these questions with
Holger Becker from Microfluidic Chip-Shop as Moderator and four eminent panelists,
Xavier Ding, who is the Malaria Team Leader at the Foundation for Innovative Diagnostics in Geneva,
Martin Kopp, who is a Senior Program Manager working on Innovation and Research at Roche diagnostics,
Vincent Linder, who worked in the group of George Whitesides at Harvard, co-founded Claros Diagnostics, and who is now a Biomedical Consultant, and
Oliver Nolte, who is a Clinical Microbiologist leading the Human Microbiology Department of the Center for Laboratory Medicine in Saint Gallen.
You all are cordially invited to attend this Industrial Forum. Please challenge the panelists with comments and questions from you during this session!
